On June 21, 1591, at the age of 23, still six years away from his priestly ordination, he died. St. Aloysius Gonzaga is a model for servant leadership. Without a lot of fanfare and expectation of recognition or fame, Aloysius quietly and humbly cared for the abandoned, vulnerable and dying.

Saint Aloysius Gonzaga (March 9, 1568 – June 21, 1591) was an Italian aristocrat who became a member of the Society of Jesus. While still a student at the Roman College, he died as a result of caring for the victims of a serious epidemic. He was beatified in 1605 and canonized in 1726.


This 60" Fiberglass exquisite statue features St. Aloysius holding a crucifix and lilies of purity in honor of Our Lady he is dressed in his cassock and surplice.

St. Aloysius Gonzaga, you began your journey to holiness when you were very young. As you were recovering from an illness, you turned your attention to prayer and study of the saints. From then on, you grew in devotion to God.

Please bring my petitions before the throne of God!

You were committed to chastity, and you longed to serve God as a missionary. Though you were still young, you did all you could to prepare yourself for a life of service to God.

Pray for me, that I may always seek to serve God in my life. Pray that I may do all I can to serve God in whatever ways He calls me to.

• DURABILITY - Fiberglass will not degrade, erode or crumble over time in the elements like concrete tends to do.



• AVAILABILITY - Concrete statues take longer to prep, produce, cure and finish, where the fiberglass process allows for quicker turnaround.
